Gavin has a long history with the sport of volleyball. He has coached at multiple volleyball clubs in the RMR. For¬†several years, he was the Director of Volleyball Operations for Norco, also coaching several teams and managing all social media efforts. He coached 303’s 15-1 team last season and he also managed their website and helped with setter training. He was also the Head Volleyball Coach at Pikes Peak Volleyball for three years in the late 90s, where he helped two teams earn Junior Olympic bids.

Gavin spent nine seasons at Metropolitan State University of Denver for the Roadrunners, where he helped the team to an overall 196-85 record during his time there.

Gavin was a member of the AVCA (American Volleyball Coaches Association), where he was the Assistant Director of Sports Information. He was also the Coordinator of Public Relations & Communications for USA Volleyball.

Gavin has also spent some time in the retail industry, working at Trader Joe’s for a while, and the restaurant industry, for Buca di Beppo. At Buca, he was a call center manager and hired and trained a staff of 25 people to monitor calls and¬†develop training materials and scheduling.
